Paul, I've now read many dozens of replies in this thread, and really, I can add nothing to this matter other than to send my best wishes to your grandaughter (for it's her welfare that is everyone's primary concern), your daughter and you and your family. One thing I will caution you about is listening to legal advice from non-lawyers (including this list).
