Jan - I looked at your whole gallery from the refuge -- I haven't been
able to do much but skim
the list for the last few weeks - people kept mentioning the birds but
not including the link or links in
their return posts...

I love water fowl - my fave is the baby Grebe tailing behind dad
(number 7) Because the story being
told and the light and bokeh. Not as dramatic in action, but the birds
stand out so much better because
of the blurred water in the back.

and Gotcha! but the light was a bit of a problem for me. The beak-off
of the fish was great timing

the pair of geese shot is perfectly timed - looks like morning light,
wish the sky were a deeper blue,
I'd probably be tempted to darken it in PS.

Oh dear, I'm sounding a bit like I'm making proclimations and I don't
mean to - just trying to say
why I like the shots... and I envy your proximity to the refuge! :) :)

It is morning in nY and I tend to babble a bit when I'm sleepy

Best,
ann
