Konica "K" mount is incomputable with the Pentax K system, an entirely different design. Vivitar made lenses with many varying mounts. Some can be adapted. Those with Pentax mounts are usually marked P/K or P/Ka and will work fine. M42 (often called Universal or Practica/Pentax Screw mount), are easily adapted using Pentax's own or third party adapters, some of non Pentax M42 lenses have open aperture metering cams that will interfere with proper mounting on K mount bodies. Beware of Ricoh PK/R lenses. While based on the K mount they can jam on autofocus, Pentax bodies necessitating often destructive methods to remove them.
