FWIW, I have 2 MX's. On one, the meter doesn't work at all, the film advance works sometimes, and the shutter works about half the time that the film advance works. On the other, the meter works until I want it for actually metering a picture, it refuses to shut itself off once activated (unless I wanted to take a picture, in which case it won't have turned on), the film advance works, but feels like it didn't, and the shutter sounds weird. As far as I am concerned, they are both parts cameras with no working parts. At least I got a 40mm f/2.8 out of the deal that I was able to sell. Oh yes. I also have a winder MX that, while ugly, seems to work. All three will sell cheaply, if I can find a sucker. William Robb - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
