Hi Chris ... Apart from any mechanical considerations, the camera - especially when compared to the Spotmatic era cameras, the K-series bodies, the LX, the ME-S, a Leica, older Nikons, and others - just feels cheap. I've not had any real problems with mine, although the film advance now seems to feel a little less precise than it used to. It just doesn't measure up to the standards I think Pentax is - and has shown itself to be - capable of. Flimsy is the word that comes to mind ... maybe I said that before.
It's that flimsiness that makes me reach for the ME S when I want something lighter and simpler than the LX. Chris Brogden wrote: > I'm with Bill and Shel on this one.
