Sigh. I came to the same conclusion about the FA*200/4 macro: Just 
can't justify that much money considering how much I'd use it (even if 
I could find one). I suppose I might come across an A*200/4 Macro 
(which is what Mark Cassino uses) at a more reasonable price, but 
they're still pretty rare.

I'm going to try my F 100/2.8 Macro on the 1.7x AF converter to get a 
170mm f/4.7 lens. They're both excellent optics so it might be OK. And 
perhaps the Sigma 180mm f/3.5 EX Macro might be worth a look at "only" 
$800.00 or so...
