"Ennoblement"??? 

I don't use filters all that often but I have several Cokin "P-size" in my bag 
most of the time.  The P size pretty much cover all of the lenses that I have.  
All you need is an adapter ring for the largest filter ring diameter and a few 
step-up rings to cover other sizes.

If you treat the Cokins carefully and keep them in their cases when not in use, 
they last well.

Oh, yes.  I have a grad ND, an ND8x and a linear polariser (I thought about 
getting a circular polariser but the linear came at a good price and I find it 
works OK with the DS).
