The easy to pump oil ran out in southern Saskatchewan a few years ago, so 
the oil companies started pumping water into the wells to fluch more oil 
out. Apparently oil will rise to the surface of the water table.
Anyway, now the ground water levels have dropped to the point that the 
farmers and ranchers are having wells go dry, which is making things more 
difficult for them.

More expensive processes may be viable from one standpoint, but can still be 
a disiaster from others.
