There is some difference between *istD and DS PEFs, just based on the 
size.  There was a discussion about how the compression was achieved, 
(dropping the unused Bits I think), but the only difference between the 
PEF's produced by the *istDs, Ds2, DL, Dl2, K110, and K100, is the 
camera tag, (and some EXIF information)..
