Of course. And I've shot quite a bit of 4x5 as well. It''s a great way to learn that one should think before tripping the shutter.. All I'm saying is that one can apply that same level of thought and discipline regardless of format. But giving us commoners access to digital tools allows us to work like the big dollar pros did with 4x5 or MF. I've never seen a 4x5 or 8x10 commercial pro shot for a major client that wasn't treated to five or ten thousand dollars worth of retouching before it went in an ad. Thanks to digital and PS, us little guys can do the same thing. That's good. The discipline to avoid shooting crap is an entirely different matter. And it is certainly true that experience in MF and large format can help one develop that discipline.
