Good luck Dave. I just got an old La Cie Pocket Drive from an ebay seller for 20 quid. It has a 30 gig 2.5 inch drive in it. That's coming out and in is going a brand new Western Digital 250GB 5400rpm drive. I'll be using it for storing video on. I wanted a Pocket Drive because I already know the form factor and can get it apart easily. It also is powered by the Firewire connection so no need for any other power source. Things like this are important out in the field. I will be formatting for OS X only though. At the weekend I had occasion to troubleshoot a reporter struggling to import video on an XP machine running Avid newscutter and I came out in hives. What an appalling mess.
