If you have a Radio Shack or Fry's Electronics nearby, they usually have the plug adapters at prices significantly lower than what you'll pay at the airport. I have a huge bag of adapters for telephone systems and power connectors somewhere around the office here. When I was traveling for Sun Microsystems and Apple in the 1990s, it was a mess getting net connection through dial up in a dozen countries, power was a lot easier.
