Printing is alive and well, though print volumes are down significantly, or at least were the last time I checked. It's not easy for me to get really accurate numbers now, as I am no longer in the business. For the record, I am not in the least bitter about that. I was rather bitter when the consumer decided that photolabs belonged in department stores, but honestly, wild horses couldn't drag me back into dealing with the idiots and morons that I had to contend with for the 20 years that I worked in the camera store/1hour lab business.
