I like Frank's pic. Probably would like it better with the quicker full in 
frame, but I think it works well as presented. 

On the other hand, although I'm a fan of Gary Winogrand, I have to say that 
this football shot does nothing for me. The action is not particularly 
interesting, and to my eye, the composition is ordinary. It's not even a slice 
of American. But that's just me.
