Godfrey, I don't see much to disagree with in your posts. I don't expect all art to be beautiful. I don't expect all art to summon strong positive feelings. I don't expect all art to be obvious on first glance. I do expect a seed of something that draws me in and makes me pause, makes me see or feel, or understand and remember.
