I'm back after several days without internet or cable TV, courtesy of the storms and tornadoes that went ripping through here last week.
I spent the down time thinking up cryptic email subjects, like the one above. But - I did actually pick up an R72 IR filter today and ran it through some head to head comparisons vs the RM90 on the *ist-D. The gory details: http://tinyurl.com/2zde8v or http://www.markcassino.com/b2evolution/index.php?title=digital_infrared_hoya_r72_vs_rm90&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1 The readers' digest version: - R72 is about 3 stops faster than RM90. - R72 white balance seems more problematic. - R72 is a lot less prone to sensor flare. - I still want an IR converted camera. So skip the blog entry (unless you want to see the pictures.) - MCC -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Mark Cassino Photography Kalamazoo, Michigan www.markcassino.com - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
