Absolutely, go wide. If I had the DA 12-24 it would be the first in the bag

Sigma 10-20
FA28/2.8 OR FA 35/2
FA 50.1.4
enable myself with a DA 70 (if within budget)
FA 135/2.8 + 1.5x converter OR DA 50-200


Alternatively;

Sigma 10-20
Tamron 28-75/2.8 XR Di (insert alternative)
FA 135/2.8 + 1.5x converter OR DA 50-200
