How many people who do not already own Pentax equipment would hang
out on a "Pentaxian" community website looking at what other Pentax
users had to say?

I feel the criticism is misplaced. It's a little easter egg hunt to
inspire enthusiasm for pentax users, not a major "win a pentax
camera" contest to draw new users. What I see in so many posts like
Tom's is constant criticism of the company and its products, which
makes me wonder why those who are so critical of them choose to
continue as owners/users. I wouldn't if I were that critical of both
company and products.

IBM seems to be doing pretty well nowadays.
