Ed, I have had both so perhaps I can compare. What you gain with the ZX-M over the SuperProgram: 1) warranty, 2) still being fixed and supported by Pentax, 3) DX coding, 4) Autowinder.
What you lose: 1) precision body (ZX-M is lightweight plastic), 2) TTL-Flash (ZX-M doesn't have it), Viewfinder (ZX-M is much smaller) If you are a person who enjoys older, fine precision things, then you would prefer the SuperProgram. The ZX-M has going for it, being sold and supported now. I find that sometimes I miss the split focusing and manual process from the SP. So, with the US$40 rebate ED> that Pentax is offering, a ZX-M from B&H is only about $120! Can someone from the list compare/contrast the SP and ZX-M? I'm thinking this would be a great second body for less than the price ED> of a used SP. TIA!!!
