I have to disagree. I use the Epson 2000P and the prints (on a good paper) are equal or better than the photographic prints of the same size. The thing is my originals are 4x5" slides, scanned with a quality scanner :-) Printouts with the same printer from a (current technology) digital camera file would not be very nice. I get print stability (100 years or more) as a bonus. Also, the color management is a lot easier with the computer darkroom.
