Actually, Henry Wilhelm has done fairly extensive testing on these things. He says the newer pigment based inks will last as long, or longer than a wet print (colour, blackand whhite fibre is still king). One does have to choose the paper carefully to get this life expectancy though. I have in my posession, colour prints that are less than 10 years old that have faded noticably, so wet prints have their problems as well.
