The thing is Peter you and Adam, from my point of view, are both arguing the same thing. You say for better noise performance you need a bigger sensor site (and eventually a larger sensor). We all agree with this.
Adam's saying the sensor manufacturers are improving their techniques to increase the sensor site size within the limits of the APS-C form factor.
