While I agree that price is not the be-all and end-all, I'd also like to point out that parts of the Mac OS that are very important for imaging and pre-press cost very seriously large amounts of money to implement for the PC. If you're going to be working with printers other than the one attached to your computer, you need to be confident that what you're sending is what you'll be getting back.
