It's likely I'll be able to purchase a new desktop soon. I'll be running dual monitors. Since I can't afford anything I want. I'll be buying a pre-built off the shelf system.
The video card that's in it uses the PCI-express bus. I'm looking to replace it with a card supporting dual DVI output. I notice that some say nVidia based cards are superior and opinions vary for numerous reasons. I also see there are numerous manufacturers that use a common chip set. Any suggestions? Hoping to stay under $250. Not big on buying a card from an obscure mfr. even if it has a well regarded chip set. Don't care about gaming at all, just solid all around performance. Thanks.
