I had a D, bought a K10D knowing I had a buyer for my D and I did never regret it even for a second. Do I want a smaller camera more like D/DS in size and weight? Yes Could I scrap SR to get that? Yes Would I sell my K10D to buy that one? Never. But a second body for hollidays and such, yes for sure.
Really, the K10D is waaay better in just everything but size, weight, TTL support and old lenses metering.
