I remember it well (I'd been running Mac OS since v10.0 alpha 6 in  
1999, the first 10.0 release to the public was after beta 75 or  
something like that over a year and a half later). 10.1 was  
substantially more robust and faster than 10.0, not to mention enough  
developers had delivered a Mac OS X compatible application so that I  
didn't have to swap back to Mac OS 9 very much any more.

It's always best to lay back and let the bleeding edge of the wave  
break on some other beach if you're trying to get some work done...  
Mac OS X v10.4 is working just fine, I'll catch the wave when the  
surf has settled to a nice steady roar. ;-)
