I had noticed that the problem wasn't as prevalen in recent years  as it once 
was. But I was using Ilford Multigrade IV when I last did darkroom work and 
long soaks resulted in a look that I would describe as foggy. It was  uneven, 
only part of the paper would be damaged, which rendered the prints garbage. In 
truth, I probably have thrown away  most, if not all, of them. It generally 
happened when I forgot that I had a print in the rinse tank. Eventually, I took 
to washing RC paper in multiple fresh running baths for only about five 
minutes.
