I agree with Bruce here. There is nothing wrong with the second shot. It's a nice shot and I can't fault it. However, the first shot is dramatic and grabs ones attention, whereas in comparison the 2nd shot is more documentary. The first shot I can see matted and framed hanging on a wall, the second shot, not that way.
In any case the second shot is a good demonstration of a subject vs. a subject worked well (1st shot).
