Make that "EMI" (electromagnetic interference) >From the spacing of the lines, it would appear that about 15 would fit across the entire frame. Given the 120Hz frequency you get from fluorescent lights, that would equate to a shutter speed of 1/8 second, which seems too slow for this shot, so that explanation doesnt' pan out.
