I'd switch back to Mac OS X v10.4.x for the time being. Leopard
incorporates a number of new technology features in larger ways than
prior major systems releases of Mac OS X did, the third party
developers have to come up to speed.

I just did the latest update to Mac OS X 10.4.11 the other day. It is
rock stable with all my present software, key amongst which are
Lightroom, PS CS2, and FileMaker Pro 7.
