LOL! The E-1 mirror-shutter noise is very soft and well controlled. You only hear the light click of the mirror up and down, the shutter's click is virtually imperceptible unless you have the camera set to do a mirror prefire so you can listen for it. That said, in all the street shooting I've been doing in the past year, I haven't yet had anyone stop and point to the camera as some kind of intrusion.
