Works for me. If you hadn't said where it was, due to the bright colours & in particular the colour of the water I would have sworn coastal resort scene from some tropical region of the world :-)
As someone how has never been there, this is a city I only know through television & movies & they have a stereotypical hollywood look & feel. Your shot goes against the image I have of Chicago.
