Don't forget the classic Vivitar Series 1 90/2.5. It's a big heavy  
metal brute, but it's an amazing performer. It's 1:2 alone or 1:1  
with it's optical adapter attached. It was very expensive when first  
released some thirty or more years ago. These days it can be had for  
$150 or less on ebay. There are later Vivitar macros that are just  
okay. Only  the first version with the optical adapter for 1:1 is  
truly outstanding.
