the subject matter is great, but I don't think this composition does
it justice. It feels badly cropped to me, as if you were trying to
rescue something from the shot. The placement of the head is
unbalanced in 2 ways. First, it should be a little higher in the
frame, and second it needs more breathing space on the right side (the
wolf's left). The crop just feels all wrong. 

I think you've shown some photos before of the kill, haven't you? I
remember them as very interesting, and would love to see more. I would
also like to see the full frame of this one, to understand why you've
cropped it this way. (Now tell me it isn't cropped!)
