You are right about the D50, Adam, but as I also said, I tried the lenses on a D200, which has a far better AF system. They locked focus better in low light than with the D50, sure, but they weren't any faster in good light. Many times people are obsessed with "faster AF", and there are many factors involved. Faster doesn't mean better, in some bodies (some Canon and Nikon which I have tried) it means "less accurate".
