Hi. I put the 70mm onto an LX and had a look (no film, sorry). There is definite falloff towards the corners, probably a stop or thereabouts wide open. My eyes aren't good enough to tell you if it goes away as the lens is stopped down. My eyes also aren't good enough to say that corner sharpness is acceptable, though I didn't see any degradation through the viewfinder. Your best off with the 77 if you need to cover the 35mm format, or want to hedge your bets against the day when Pentax releases a 35mm format DSLR.
