The said Norwegian (not me) had an issue with _uneven_ focal plane.
Equally distant objects in different parts of the frame not rendered
sharp at the same focal distance. Whether it's due to the lens or the
camera is a different question.

To be honest I don't have a clue whether my own lens exhibit this
problem because I haven't gone looking for it. "Best" can easily
become an enemy of the "good enough".
