My aluminium trackbike isn't that light, but at about 18 pounds, it's light enough for me. But 16 pounds 11 oz? For a road bike? That's Tour de France climbing-bike light! (actually about a pound more - whatever - it's still impressive). I remember being mildly disappointed that your aluminium Jamis seemed to weigh about the same as my steel-tubed roadbike: somewhere around 21 or 22 pounds. Those will be great for the Blue Ridge Mountains! > Further note: I still won't be able to keep up with you... On this very day, I think I'd be the one huffing and puffing trying to stay with you. I've been on my bike about 2 or 3 days max this year - much snow makes me want to stay dry and warm... ;-) cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
