From our bicycle trip through the Loire Valley a couple of years ago.

Mid-week we found ourselves passing through the town of Montrichard, on
the river Cher. Our route maps didn't call for a stop, but one of the
advantages of a self-guided tour is that you can stop and investigate
where the hell you want. ;-) The castle up on a hill in the center of
town looked too good to pass up. We paid our admission and went through
the castle ruins. Very cool. There was a section that was roped off, but
the staff told us we could cross through as long as we understood it was
at out own risk (no American liability-lawyer issues here!) so we
proceeded to investigate. At the top of the highest tower in the castle
I took a series of shots which I stitched together into this panorama.
