I've been to Cal Precision a couple times, but I've never actually had
them repair anything.
Last event had to do with a hood dented A*300 f/2.8 that, also, needed
the aperture linkage repaired. They couldn't give anything like a
serious estimate as didn't even know how to access the system and had
no idea what the hood would cost. They finally uttered a pretty high
number as a possibility, but I'd have to leave the lens and after they
had a chance to look into it, they'd give me a call.
I thanked them and later shipped it to Colorado. Was a surprisingly low
cost ($100) for the hood and repairs. I was happy with my choice.
