I've got 6-8 sd cards. One fast, 'no name' card I used frequently had the plastic covering fail. First just a chip, then a crack and the housing folded up. Not too good for pushing into the K10D spring loaded card slot. I super glued it back together, but lost the write lock and that was that. The slot on the K10D didn't like me adding some scotch tape to the card to unlock it. I spent $17 and bought another one. I wouldn't have a CF card with 44 pins...talk about asking for trouble!
