Had a call from Pentax today about the K10D. He said he would give me
their Purolator number, and send in the offending lens.
I said i don't have a box big enough to send in 10 lenses or more.

He said, Oh.

He did say something that struck me as odd, i guess is the best word.

He said they get a lot of K10D's in for back focus problems. But he
said most general users are not as finiky as experienced or pro users,
yes he said pro, and they don't see it or notice it.

Any way, i mentioned the mirror and focus screen, and they said that
would be something they would look for and correct first, and does not
seem to be the case here.

I asked how they test for this, and part of what i remember is that he
described it as hooking up the test unit for a car to see what codes
are showing.

I'm not having much faith now, i don't trust those code readers at garages.:-)
