Thanks Marcus.
The term "chimping," or "dhimps" for those who practice it, is meant
to be descriptive of the way some photographers behave when they're
looking at the screen view of their digital photos. They bend their
head in a posture similar to that of a chimpanzee. Sometimes they
make a noise not unlike that of the lower primate: "ooh, ooh, ooh!"
It was somewhat of a derogatory term at first, but it's fast becoming
a part of the photographer's standard lexicon.
