Just a thought. Chimping arises from the same reasons Polaroid sold well for many years. There is a need to "see your product". The same people who like to take pictures like to look at them. Digital cameras, especially with increasingly larger LCD screens, satisfy both these needs. A pro shouldn't be missing shots to look, but an amateur should do whatever makes them happy. That's the point of being an amateur, yes?
