You're probably not far off the mark with $60/hr to start with.
Certainly don't charge any less. You might be with the client for
about an hour but you've still got your processing time afterwards.
You could even up the price a bit more (say $75) and include an 8x10
or a smaller print package.
Make up a few flyers with some examples of your work to leave at the pet store.
Weren't you talking at one time about doing a photo shoot at the
store? That would maybe kickstart your business and help you get
referrals. You could then charge a nominal fee which would include a
print "special offer!" and it would get the customers back in to the
store too.
