Athough better late than never, I just got my first SMC PENTAX-A* lens today, the A* 300mm F4.0. I cant believe the small size in length, its only about the length of a typical 200mm but it does have the typical large front element of an F4 300mm. The color saturation, contrast, and resolution are all excellent in my quick and dirty tests and with ZERO visible CA across the APS format. I am very happy with this one. Only problem is now I want the other A* lenses and they are all very costly... JCO

Having been burned before, I never trust that. In my house, it's not a valid backup until I've copied every last byte back to another disk and done a binary comparison between those new copies and the originals.
