Lightroom is much cheaper than Photoshop, and far better in my opinion for photographers. I never really got on with Photoshop, and I haven't used it at all since I bought Lightroom, but I've used Lightroom a lot. I think it's probably the best-designed application, in any domain, that I've ever used, and worth the money.
