Godfrey, my understanding is that PS CS2 cannot control ACR 4.3 and upwards. They have hmmm severed the link between PS ACR and LR ACR so that the proper integration is between CS3 and ACR 4.3 and upwards. At least this is how I understood the thread from the Adobe forums, link to which I have posted.
Also I should mention that I have tried numerous times to change the location of the cache directory because on my oldish by now computer the system disk is IDE and two other disks are S-ATA. I did so the way you suggested but it had no effect. This is what made me do a bit of research... Now that I increased the size of the cache and moved it to the faster disk, I notice a bit of performance improvement in my LR. Cheers!
