I met a couple of anglers in a homemade fibreglass canoe. They claimed it weighed only 25 kg, and had put in a carrying yoke at the balance point as part of the construction. They were indeed able to carry it single-person, but it looked like more than 25 kg from the way they walked.
Incidentally, their fishing luck had been only "so-so", but the ones they'd caught were surprisingly large. All eaten, of course. I had a fishing rod with me too, and caught one whole perch. :-) It was exactly large enough to have the head and the tail fin sticking out from my fist grip when I unhooked it. That was half the size prospected by the guys I met. I put my catch back in the water... :-) Jostein 2008/5/28 Brian Walters <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > That's a great looking craft. I need one of those.
