I'm a big fan of flash meters myself. I have a twenty year old Vivitar meter
that combnes a flash meter, averaging meter and incident meter. The flash
meter readings are very accurate. Sometimes I'll use three flashes, -- an old
Honeywell 890, a reasonably powerful Promaster, and a Pentax 400T -- two of
them on slaves, one on the camerra. It's a fairly simple way to do table-top
studio work.
